Business Student Organizations

Getting involved in a College of Business student organization is one of the best ways to enhance your college experience. These groups allow students to develop leadership skills, connect with industry professionals, and collaborate with peers who share similar career interests.

From networking events to hands-on projects, student organizations help turn classroom knowledge into real-world experience.

  • Association for Information Systems Student Chapter of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (AIS)

    This is a Student Chapter of the National Association for Information Systems. Our objectives are to:

    1. Encourage the pursuit of information systems excellence within LU,
    2. Offer information systems career and technology information to our members, and
    3. Provide networking opportunities to those interested in information systems.

  • American Marketing Association (AMA)

    American Marketing Association is a national organization that acknowledges the growth of people in the business field. By offering a plethora of opportunities and offers, the AMA is the largest marketing association that helps not only new students, but also anyone looking to improve his or her future.

  • Asian Business Student Association

    The Asian Business Student Association is an upcoming organization at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ that aspires to provide resources for Lamar students to add to their professional skill set. ABSA aims to equip students with essential skills, such as leadership, networking, community service, and professional development, which will be beneficial for their career success.

    The College of Business Student Advisory Council consists of a group of business students who want to actively promote and improve the College of Business. The purpose of the organization is to offer a gateway for the students and the Dean to communicate as well as to provide for the professional development of skilled business leaders of tomorrow.
