The Transfer and Non-Traditional Student Orientation is designed for students who are transferring from another institution, students who may have taken some time off after graduating high school before enrolling, or for adult learners. This orientation will only last a couple of hours and is designed to teach you about Â鶹ÊÓƵ and the resources we offer, while we also help you finish up anything off your admission’s checklist since you’re on campus. Our goal is to have you leave fully prepared for the upcoming semester!
Transfer/Non-Traditional Orientation is not mandatory or required for these student types.
Registration for New Student Orientation is done online.
Go to and scroll down until you see the “Register for Transfer/Non-Traditional Orientation!” button. You will need your LEA username and password to log in.
Spacing is limited for each session. If you walk in, we may not be able to accommodate you. We highly encourage all students to register in advance to secure a spot.
To reschedule please email orientation@lamar.edu stating your current session date, the date you want to change to, your first and last name, and your L#.
If you are no longer wanting to attend your orientation session and you need to cancel your reservation, please email orientation@lamar.edu stating that you are wanting to cancel your reservation and if you are or are not attending Â鶹ÊÓƵ for the upcoming semester, your first and last name, and your L#.
There is no requirement for family members to attend, but if you would like to bring a guest with you, please email us at orientation@lamar.edu, and the limit is one guest per student.
There are no costs associated with Transfer/Non-Traditional Orientation.
