Director for Research Alliances & Strategic Partnerships
Darrell Grissom is the Director for Research Alliances and Strategic Partnerships for the Signature Centers at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in Beaumont, Texas. The three signature centers are the Center for Advances in Port Management, Center for Midstream Management and Science, and Center for Resiliency. Prior to accepting his position at Â鶹ÊÓƵ on January 1, 2026, he had been a tenured faculty member serving as an associate professor, program director and interim chair at Lamar Institute of Technology. He also brings years of industry experience working as an independent petroleum landman.
He has years of experience in technical workforce education and many industry connections. As Director for Research Alliances and Strategic Partnerships he is tasked with building quality partnerships between academia and industry. He is looking for research opportunities with major emphasis in the midstream petroleum sector of the energy and petrochemical industry.
