The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences offers two Bachelor of Science degree pathways: Clinical Medical Laboratory Science and Biomedical Science emphasis. The MLS program is the department’s clinical certification pathway, while the Biomedical Science emphasis provides a non-licensure applied laboratory science foundation.
Both pathways prepare students for careers in healthcare and science, with opportunities in clinical practice, research, industry, and graduate or professional study. The department is committed to preparing graduates who meet workforce needs in diagnostic clinical laboratories and beyond, as well as in biomedical research and related scientific fields.
Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences
The Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science is a four-year program designed to prepare students for careers in diagnostic medicine and national certification through rigorous on-campus lectures and laboratory coursework.

The B.S. in Medical Laboratory Sciences is a newly established program developed in accordance with the standards and requirements of the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) and intends to seek programmatic accreditation as soon as possible.
