Faculty and Staff Hiring Process in NEOED

Create REQ

Log into NEOED and Create a Requisition from your Dashboard. This replaces the F3.1 form

REQ Approvals

For Faculty & Staff, these REQ requests will flow through approvals.

Student & Adjunct requests will not need approvals.

Posting Job

Once your REQ is fully approved, your job will be posted. For Staff, the REQ will need to be approved by the VP Committee of Position Management

Applications

Staff positions will be posted for a minimum of 5 days and Faculty for 10 days.

To review applications & resume, submit Scoring Criteria to create Matrix REQ Approvals.

Matrix

The Matrix will be built in NEOED. Candidates will be moved to this step to be reviewed/scored.

Referred List

Once you are ready to begin interviews, reach out to your Recruiter with those names. Your Recruiter will do a final review and move them to the Referred.

Interviews

From you Dashboard, you will move the candidates through the interview stages. You can also allow self-scheduling for candidates

Select Hiring

After interviews: For Staff, you will email your Recruiter the name of the selected candidate for a Salary Rec. 

For Faculty, you will send the hiring packet to the Provost Office.

Preboarding

For Staff, Recruiter will give verbal offer & send E-Offer. Then move Preboarding (Hiring Packet).

For Faculty, Recruiter will send LU SSR Form once Hiring Packet is received from the Provost Office.

Onboarding

For Staff, once E-Offer is signed, candidate will be moved to Onboarding to complete HR documents.

For Faculty, Onboarding will be initiated once Hiring Packet is received.
