Faculty have the option to enable or disable this feature; however, setup must be completed through the Blackboard department.
Students are required to use an additional camera or a mobile phone as a secondary camera.
- Review and Approval of April 2025 Meeting Minutes
A motion to approve the April 2025 meeting minutes was made by Jesus Garcia and seconded by Frank Sun.
The motion passed unanimously.
- IT PC Refresh Report – Presented by John Genuardi
Two tracks of PC refresh are in progress: Windows 11 upgrades and standard PC replacements.
Requests for special accommodation needs should be submitted to the IT Director.
- Lamar Cloud Services Information (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) – Presented by Lane Smith
Virtual Apps on AWS are available to engineering students and faculty.
Blackboard utilizes both AWS and Microsoft Azure services.
- Student Textbook Purchase Integration with Blackboard – Presented by Craig Pember
Faculty can set up Cardinal Course Materials in Blackboard for textbook access.
Students have the option to include textbook costs in their tuition package.
