Law Scholar Dr. Lawrence Lessig to Speak at LU Distinguished Lecture Series

Lawrence Lessig, renowned legal scholar, activist and author, will be the featured speaker in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Distinguished Lecture Series at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ on Tuesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre. The lecture is free and open to the public.

World Art Day: Don’t Break the Chain!

Lamar Opera Theatre Presents: Le nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) by W.A. Mozart

Date(s): Friday, April 24 & Saturday, April 25, 7:00 - 10:30 p.m.
Location: Rothwell Recital Hall

Lamar Opera Theatre will present Le Nozze di Figaro, a comic opera in four acts by W. A. Mozart. The opera will be performed in Italian with projected surtitles of English translations and take place at the Rothwell Recital Hall, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ campus at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

13th annual expo
Abstract Submissions to the 13th Annual EXPO 2026 Conference

Deadline for submissions: Friday, April 10, 11:59 p.m.

All undergraduate and graduate students from all academic areas are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at EXPO 2026, which will be held on April 30 - May 1, in the Setzer Center. Both days will have plenaries, breakout sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and booths. More information can be found here.

Paper Competition
Submit a Narrative About Your Research at the EXPO's Paper Competition

Deadline to submit: Friday, April 10, 11:59 p.m.

If you feel that your research has interest for others or you want to inspire others, please submit a narrative to the Paper Competition of EXPO 2026. The best STEM and HASBSEB papers will be recognized with awards and prizes at the EXPO banquet on April 30, in the Live Oak Ballroom of Setzer Center.

Have something to share?  (e.g., events, publications, faculty research, awards, departmental congratulations, grants, etc.) and the Office of Marketing Communications will get the word out through emails, web, social media and more.
